Flamingo Floral Quilt
This is a quilt or wall hanging that is 43" x 64". There is a pocket/tunnel to hang it from that runs across the top of the back of the quilt (not shown in the pics). One of the fabrics for the background actually has metallic fish in it. I've also put in a beaded dragonfly earring on the flamingo and there's one hovering above the water as well.
It is made of cotton applique from flowers/feathers I cut out along with the background panels, batting material in the middle layer and the backing (made of mermaid and dolphins playing in green seagrass and green polka dots running down the middle of the back.) Her legs are navy blue with dark red polka dots!
This makes me feel summery and cool and would make an awesome piece for a summer cabin/home, a den or child's room. Or if you get SAD in the winter, pull it out, put it up, and you'll feel happier!
